Short bio

Riccardo Billero is a lecturer at the Free University of Bolzano.

He is also an adjunct professor at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna and at the University of Florence (since 2018), and has been an adjunct teaching assistant at the University of Trento since 2021.

He obtained a five-year degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florence in 2009 and a PhD in Telematics and the Information Society in 2013.

His research focuses on computational linguistics (NLP). He collaborates with the project at the FORLILPSI Department of the University of Florence as technological coordinator, overseeing the IT management of the work of more than 30 linguists, literary scholars, and translators engaged in the creation of several multilingual corpora focused on the lexicon of cultural heritage, in nine different languages.

Previously, from 2010 to 2015, he conducted research at the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Florence, working on Linked Data, Open Data, and their applications in tourism and Smart City contexts.
