English as a Foreign Language - Advanced Specialized Language course

The course builds on the “Specialized language course”, focusing on styles of language used in the field of economics, politics and philosophy. It consolidates language skills at the C1 level in terms of language and grammar, reading, writing and speaking.

Teaching Hours: 30
Lab Hours: 2 groups – 16 hours per group
Mandatory Attendance: As this is a language course, attendance is strongly encouraged and incentivised but is not compulsory. Attendance of this advanced course is extremely important so as to be fully prepared for the final exam.

ILO (Intended Learning Outcomes) ILO 1 Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: ILO 1.1 the ability to communicate fluently and spontaneously with native speakers on economic topics; ILO 2 Communication skills: ILO 2.1 fluency in spoken and written Italian, German and English, including translation of these languages. Intercultural competence. Conceptual conciseness, ability to capture facts in writing, especially for scientific and science-based texts
