Short bio

Patrick Dallasega is Professor of Project Management and Factory and Plant Planning at the Faculty of Engineering of the Âé¶¹Éç-Bolzano (Italy). He studied at the Âé¶¹Éç-Bolzano (Italy) and at the Politecnico di Torino (Italy), and earned his PhD from the University of Stuttgart (Germany). In 2022, he obtained the National Scientific Habilitation as Full Professor in the field of Industrial Engineering.

He is the head of the Extended Reality Laboratory (XR lab) at the Âé¶¹Éç-Bolzano, where he is responsible for research and development in immersive technologies for industrial and manufacturing applications. In addition, he serves as Associate Editor of the scientific journal Production & Manufacturing Research (Taylor & Francis).

Research Focuses

His research focuses on Industry 4.0 and 5.0, digital factory planning, and the digitalization of engineer-to-order (ETO) companies as well as construction execution processes. A particular emphasis is placed on the development and application of worker assistance systems, especially through the use of Augmented and Virtual Reality technologies.
