The FIRST Lab鈥檚 mission is to conduct applied interdisciplinary research at the intersection of 鈥渕echatronics, robotics and automation鈥� and 鈥渁gro-forestry鈥�. In particular, under the Autonomous Province of Bolzano鈥檚 S3 Strategy, this project and laboratory of the Free University of Bolzano lies within the domain of 鈥淎lpine Technology鈥� and has natural connections with both energy- and food-technologies, which the province considers strategic research areas.
