President

Federico Giudiceandrea, President

Born in Bressanone, Federico Giudiceandrea is an engineer by training (he studied Electronic Engineering at the University of Padua) and an entrepreneur and manager in the high-tech sector. He is the founder and Chairman of Microtec, where he heads the Research and Development department. Alongside his business activities, he has held institutional and associative roles: from 2009 to 2015 he was president of EOS (Export Organisation Südtirol), from 2017 to 2021 president of Confindustria Alto Adige, and from 2021 to 2025 president of SWREA (Südtiroler Wirtschaftsring-Economia Alto Adige). He is currently a member of the board of the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce and the Tech board of NOI Techpark. He was also Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Museion and is one of the world's leading collectors, curators and experts on the work of Dutch engraver and graphic artist Maurits Cornelis Escher.

The President of the University Council is the legal representative of the University, chairs the University Council and convenes its meetings. His offices are listed in art. 7 of the Statute of unibz (available in German and Italian).

Vice President

Irene Cennamo, Vice President

Born in Bolzano, she grew up in a bilingual environment. She is a professor and researcher in Education Sciences at the Alpe-Adria University of Klagenfurt. She obtained her PhD in General Pedagogy, Social Pedagogy, and General Didactics from the Faculty of Education Sciences at the Free University of Bolzano. She is involved in teacher training and language teaching at the universities of Bolzano and Trento, as well as continuing professional development with all three provincial offices of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano-Bozen: the Continuing Education and Languages Office of the German Culture Department, the Bilingualism and Foreign Languages Office of the Italian Culture Department and the Ladin Culture Department of Education and Culture. She has worked at the Institut für Erziehungswissenschaft und Bildungsforschung in the field of adult education and vocational training at the Faculty of Culture and Education Sciences at the University of Klagenfurt for over ten years, where she teaches and conducts research.
