On the occasion of the, the Equal Opportunities Committee of the 麻豆社-Bolzano, together with the Confidential Counsellor, avv. Chiara Bongiorno, and within the framework of the GEP (Gender Equality Plan), is organizing a series of events. The programme includes artistic performances and short lectures by experts from various fields.

The inauguration of the event, which aims to sensitise the university community to the issue of gender violence, will take place on Thursday 23rd November at 4 pm in the area adjacent to the library entrance (1st floor, University Square, Bolzano). The Rector, Professor Paolo Lugli, and the President of the Equal Opportunities Committee, Professor Elisabeth Tauber, will present the initiative. The series of events will include lectures, theatre performances, exhibitions and video screenings.

The inaugural event will focus on a talk by researcher and lecturer Barbara Plagg on 鈥淭he Power of Words鈥�. Plagg will analyze the role of language and its impact on the perception and representation of women. In addition, J枚rg Oschmann's video installation 鈥濻ie w眉rde nicht wollen, dass so 眉ber sie gesprochen wird. Gespr盲che mit Angeh枚rigen der Opfer von Femiziden鈥� (She Wouldn't Want to Be Talked About Like That: Conversations with relatives of victims of femicide) will be shown. At 16.45, the theatre performance 鈥淓ntscheiden (=Decidi)鈥� by teatroBlu will take place in the University Square. An exhibition by Giada Avi entitled 鈥淐onversations between feminists: on roses and thorns鈥� will be open from 23 November to 4 December.

Subsequent events will include meetings, other exhibitions and conferences on gender violence and social activism.
