The course offers an overview of the main theoretical orientations in the didactics of philosophy, providing general knowledge about the most widespread, innovative or effective didactic methodologies that can be used for teaching the discipline in upper secondary schools.

Themen der Lehrveranstaltung
Why teach philosophy. A brief history of teaching philosophy. Philosophy in the current National Indications: general lines, competences, and specific learning objectives for philosophy. Philosophy in the current provincial indications for the definition of the curricula of the secondary school in the Italian language of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano - Alto Adige. Philosophy in the current Guidelines for the elaboration of the curricula of secondary school institutions of the Autonomous Province of Trento. How to teach philosophy: approaches, methods, techniques and materials.

Bildungsziele
The course is part of the characterising training activities of the A018 class pathway. The course aims to introduce the most widespread, innovative or effective teaching techniques for teaching philosophy as critical knowledge and to problematise and discuss them from a conceptual and theoretical point of view. Disciplinary skills Knowledge and understanding At the end of the course students will have general knowledge of the principles, methods and content of teaching philosophy. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding At the end of the course students will be able to reflect on the role that their teaching choices will have on the transmission and elaboration of philosophical knowledge. Transversal skills Autonomy of judgement At the end of the course students will achieve critical and interpretative skills that will enable them to make the most appropriate choices for the transmission and reworking of philosophical knowledge. Communication skills At the end of the module students will acquire specific communication skills that will enable them to optimise the transmission of philosophical knowledge. Learning skills At the end of the module, students will acquire specific knowledge and reflection skills that will enable them to independently explore the didactics of philosophy in greater depth.
