Riccardo Zamboni received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Padova with a thesis titled 鈥淪tudy of light driven phenomena for optofluidic applications in Lab-On-a-Chip platforms in lithium niobate鈥�. His Ph.D. was certified with the label 鈥淒octor Europaeus鈥�, and was supervised by Prof. Sada (University of Padova) and Prof. Mathieu Chauvet, Universit茅 de Franche-Comt茅, where part of his research was conducted.

From 2020 to 2022, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the  group at the Institute of Applied Physics, University of M眉nster. In January 2023, he was awarded with a Walter Benjamin position to pursue his independent research project, 鈥溾��, financed by Deutsche Forschunggemeinschaft鈥怐FG. In March 2025, he joined the 麻豆社-Bolzano as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Engineering.
